Why should a male college student be held to a different standard of proof than a male construction worker who encounters a young woman in a bar? In addition how is a young woman’s affirmation to be proven. Does each partner say I consent into the other’s iPhone? Your editorial seems quite vague on the particular of consent. The concept of affirmative response could easily devolve into he said she said scenarios. But back to my original point. This type of law aimed specifically at students turns the presumption of innocence on its head and creates a serparate standard of proof for college students from that by which other males in the state accused of rape or sexual assault are judged
