    As a journalism student (all the way in Spain) this is obviously something very much talked about, since our future depends on people’s conception of the news we share.
    People are too “lazy” to actually read entire articles (although this is not entirely new, and is in fact the reason why in articles the trascendental part news is summarized in the first paragraph or so) and are now even too lazy to learn about the news by actually entering the media webpage for themselves; instead, more and more commonly it has been studied that the majority of news articles are entered to by the public from Facebook.

    The fact that people don’t actually bother to search out a news-media-channel´s web page (or more than one to contrast the information given, if possible) only leads to people knowing a small portion of what is happenning out there, and in the cases of news found on social media pages such as Facebook, a “chosen” piece of news.

    This does not mean that Facebook lies to us; Facebook suggestion program is based on something called algorithms, which basically means Facebooks checks what you like, what you tend to share and suggests information of similar topics, as well as what your friends share and stuff that the page itself wants to (or is paid to share). This sort of agenda where they choose what and what not to share with you, of course is not illegal or wrong because Facebook is intended and in fact IS a social media, NOT a news corporation; so it’s always recommendable to follow pages you usually wouldn’t follow on Facebook (mostly when you don’t agree) so as to see the contrast of information, and even MORE so recommendable to use your fingers to type out the name of a reliable news-media sources (that means mostly the well known big corporations, yes Mr. Trump, including CNN, because NEWS CHANNELS CANNOT UPRIGHT LIE, even your loved Fox News said so; and channels that don’t have or have a very small history of complaints for fake news) and read the news for an hour or so.
    Love the article and the project idea, I hope it turns out great;
    Cheers
