International Political Economy,(IPED) a graduate program at Fordham University, is celebrating 25 years of partnership with Catholic Relief Services (CRS). The theme of the 25 year celebration is “forming leaders for global development.”

The West Wing went to The Boogie Down Grind Cafe on March 7 to sit with author, urban revitalization strategist, MacArthur Fellow, Peabody Award-winning broadcaster and community activist Majora Carter. The trip aimed to teach members of The West Wing that what is learned in school can be implemented in one's community.

USG Discusses Increase in Student Activity Fees

In the past couple of weeks, the Fordham Rose Hill United Student Government (USG) has been discussing the possibility of increasing the student activity fees. For this increase to be put into action, a referendum must be sent out to the student body and at least 15% of the community needs to say yes in a simple majority from the students surveyed.

Fordham Dance Marathon Spreads Awareness for Cancer

Fordham Dance Marathon (FDM) raised awareness for National Cancer Prevention Month through the planting of 874 ribbons on Edward's Parade, each representing a child who has been diagnosed with cancer since the beginning of the spring semester. FDM also hosted their 15th annual auction, where they raised over $24,000.

Major Declaration Deadline Approaches for Sophomores

The declaration deadline is the second week of February for sophomores in Fordham College at Rose Hill (FCRH) and the second week of March for sophomores in the Gabelli School of Business (GSB). If students do not declare a major by the deadline, a hold will be placed on their registration for the following fall.

President Tetlow Meets with Student Press

On March 1, members of the student press met with President Tania Tetlow to discuss her tenure as president. In the meeting, Tetlow touched on current unionization efforts, tuition increases, diversity initiatives, admissions and integration into the Fordham community.
