Holy hell I thought the idiocy of your immigration article couldn’t be topped…but here we are. The Ram shouldn’t allow you to continue to tarnish its reputation with blatant ignorance. Stick to writing articles on topics you actually understand like maybe, “Why the New Price of the Venti Mocha at Starbucks is abhorrent” Seems more your style.

You dismiss political correspondents around the world as overreacting in a “mass hysteria” and appear to be holding that you know better. Enough to right a thinkpiece as a college freshman about this. If a lot of the language around a thing appears to be a violation of rights, and a lot of its impact appears to be a violation of rights, then it’s possible there’s a reason behind people believing that it’s a violation of rights. Be honest with yourself about what the truth could be

Instead, Trump chose these seven specific countries under the guise of none other than Obama, himself.

I assume you meant to say “President Obama” the first time you mentioned him in the article. Your disdain for our former president is quite evident. Also, who at the Ram is editing this stuff??

Its implied that he was the President, Ive referred to Bush as Bush, not President Bush, Ive referred to Clinton as Clinton, you’re looking for a reason to bash this article and this is a poor one. I think that placing these 7 countries on this list was one of Obama’s highlights, along with others, don’t be quick to judge.

Sure – though while we’re nitpicking this particular passage, “under the guise of…Obama” doesn’t actually make any sense, either. Did you mean “guidance”?

A paper you wrote in high school about the Holocaust doesn’t absolve you from being a xenophobic racist. If you realized the horrors of the Holocaust, you would also realize the horrors of the Syrian War and realize that we should shelter those affected just as we should have sheltered Jews. Not one of the single countries listed in the ban were responsible for terror attacks on US soil. This ban has had the effect of stranding families and denying medical care to people who are in critical risk. It is nothing short of an anti-Muslim ban, and other nations see it for what it is. This ban is an embarrassment to this nation, one that is literally built on the backs of people of color. I feel bad for this journalist, and I hope she gets the help she needs before her future employers (if any) google her name and see this racist garbage.

Hi there, I want to first and foremost thank you for reading this article and commenting, giving me more views, very kind. I do realize the horrors of the Holocaust, part in fact due to my education, and part in fact that my Grandfathers uncle and aunt thankfully escaped Auschwitz, however his other family was not able too(also let us not forget I am Jewish). The reason that these countries were placed on the ban list was because Obama cited them first, they are areas that have been infiltrated by terrorist organizations. My boss loves me and reads my articles so I guess it is working out well for me 🙂

imagine knowing literally nothing about racial and ethnic oppression and yet feeling confident enough to write multiple pieces filled with misinformation and blatantly incorrect statistics to try to dismiss racism
