Fordham University has received a $100 million gift from Maurice Cunniffe, FCRH ’54, and Carolyn Dursi Cunniffe, Ph.D., GSAS ’71, to improve STEM programming. The gift is the largest in Fordham’s history and will be used to begin construction on an integrated science facility on the Rose Hill campus and to expand STEM degree programs. The university is envisioning a “200,000+ gross-square-foot” facility that will feature wet and dry research labs, research spaces, classrooms and student lounges. It will replace the current parking lot on the eastern side of the Rose Hill campus across from the New York Botanical Garden.
The donation is part of Fordham’s broader initiative to improve its STEM programming.
This is an updating story.
