Fantasy Football:
Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em:
QB
Jonah: Joe Burrow (Start) – Burrow has been playing angry and sharp these past few weeks, using what seems to be some deep-rooted frustration to play what has arguably been the best football of his career. Look for Burrow to continue to play motivated and put up ridiculous numbers against a major divisional rival, especially one that he threw for 392 yards and five touchdowns against last time he saw them.
Griffin: Kyler Murray (Sit) – Murray is facing a Jets defense that is finally clicking into gear after one of their first good showings of the year against Houston. I would expect a similar performance from the Jets against the leaders of the NFC West.
Joe: Kirk Cousins (Start) – An NFC South rivalry match with no Marshon Lattimore? Cousins should have an easy time carving up a defeated Saints team in their first game after firing HC Dennis Allen.
RB
Jonah: Justice Hill (Sit) – Seeing as the Ravens are facing off against a Bengals’ defense that is almost historically bad against bruising running backs, I would expect Hill’s normal share of carries to take a hit in favor of a more heavy Derrick Henry-centric attack.
Griffin: Derrick Henry (Start) – The Bengals defense has been atrocious so far this year, and Henry has been locked in for big games. Look for Henry to continue his OPOTY campaign.
Joe: Christian McCaffrey (Start): Guess who’s back? Fantasy football’s biggest name in McCaffrey will finally return from an Achilles injury. Expect him to be at full speed in a favorable matchup with a below-average Buccaneers rushing defense.
WR
Jonah: Ja’marr Chase (Start) – Chase, for whatever reason, seems to really enjoy playing against the Ravens, the Bengals’ star averaging just about seven catches for 100 yards against the Dirty Birds throughout his career. Couple this fact with the rampage that Burrow has been on recently, and I think Chase is once again poised to have a big day .
Griffin: Zay Flowers (Sit) – I am done with this man. Sit him because he is so unpredictable. If you sit him then he will go off, so be charitable and put him on the bench.
Joe: Demario Douglas (Sit) – Douglas has been the only reliable and dynamic receiver on the Patriots this year, but it doesn’t mean that you can trust him to put up big numbers as Drake Maye continues to spread the ball to a slew of receivers, including Kendrick Bourne and Ja’Lynn Polk.
TE
Jonah: Travis Kelce (Sit) – I have no rationale for this pick other than the fact that Kelce has had two straight weeks of high production during what has been an overall disappointing season for him. If the rule of threes tells me anything, his tear will likely lose some steam this coming week.
Griffin: Sill boycotting the position.
Joe: Mike Gesicki (Sit) – It’s hard to not to love Mike Gesicki, but it’s easy not to trust him. He had a career game last week, hauling in five passes for 100 yards and 2 TDs. I would not be shocked if he follows that up with his fifth game with two or less catches. He’s just not a consistent option at TE.
DEF
Jonah: Bengals (Sit) – They’re really, really bad at stopping the run, and the Ravens are really, really good at running the ball. I would fade them at all costs this week.
Griffin: Eagles (Start) – Cooper Rush is beyond cooked this week. The Mingo acquisition isn’t going to help them either. On top of all that, Ceedee Lamb is playing injured now. Rush will be lucky if he avoids more than two picks.
Joe: Eagles (Start) – Cooper Rush is under center for a Cowboys team that brought in…. Jonathan Mingo as their trade deadline splash at wide receiver. Philadelphia should control the clock from the ground on offense and put the clamps on a dysfunctional Dallas offense in this NFC East matchup.
