Fantasy Football:
Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em:
QB
Jonah: Jayden Daniels (Sit) – Last week’s deflating loss against the Steelers is the type of defeat that can really mess with a young quarterback. Couple these potential lingering ghosts with the fact that Daniels will be squaring off against a stingy Eagles’ secondary, and I think Daniels may be due for a down week.
Griffin: CJ Stroud (Sit) – Many might look at the Texans and Cowboys matchup as an easy win for the Texans, but Micah Parsons is back, and the Texan’s O-Line is abysmal. I don’t think Stroud will have enough time to get the ball downfield.
Joe: Justin Herbert (Sit) – The Bengals must be in desperation mode after their week 10 heartbreaker against Baltimore. I wouldn’t expect them to allow an inch to Herbert, who’s been strong in the latter half of the year despite his middling options.
RB
Jonah: Joe Mixon (Sit) – Mixon has been on a tear recently, recording 100+ yards and a touchdown in four of his last five outings. I would expect him to continue this trend of dominance against a Dallas defense that has handed out fantasy points to running backs in bunches.
Joe: De’Von Achane (Start) – Achane struggled on the ground in the Dolphins’ win last week, taking 12 totes for just 37 yards, but he did get five catches. Assume some progression to the mean in the run game and add a touchdown to that stat line and you’ve got a more typical week for the RB that has been inconsistent despite putting up 20+ points four times this year already.
Griffin: De’Von Achane (Start) – Like Joe said, this weekend’s matchup against the Raiders is an opportunity for the Dolphins RB. Look for Tua to hit Achane on dump-offs often.
WR
Jonah: Ja’marr Chase (Start) – I will continue to put Chase in this spot until further notice…If you watched the vivisection this man performed on the Ravens’ secondary, then you would understand this sentiment.
Griffin: Justin Jefferson (Start) – Jefferson is chasing a receiving record and the Titans are the worst team in the league. It’s that simple.
Joe: Jameson Williams (Start) – Williams got off to an electric start, but has been dormant ever since. This week’s matchup with a 30th-ranked Jaguars pass defense should give him an opportunity to bounce back in week 11.
TE
Jonah: Tanner Hudson (Start) – While I do not necessarily think that Hudson will be Tight End I material, I think he could be a sneaky flex pickup seeing as he had a very productive week against the Ravens, hauling in six catches for 42 yards and a touchdown. He might just be due for another big week against the Chargers, especially as Higgins might be out again.
Griffin: Mark Andrews (Start) – I have decided to start trusting TEs again. Speaking of trust, Lamar Jackson has finally started to trust Mark Andrews. Look for Andrews to continue his touchdown streak on Sunday.
Joe: Brock Bowers (Start) – Tight ends are weird this year, we’ve established that. Rookie Brock Bowers, however, has quietly been a dependable option all year. He’s eclipsed 10 points – the hallmark of a solid tight end performance – in all but two games this year, and he’ll look to extend his double-digit streak to six games against Miami.
DEF
Jonah: Saints (Start) – A week after the Saints shut down a pretty strong Falcons unit, they are set to square off against the reeling Browns. I would continue to ride the Saints defense until they have a hiccup against a lesser unit.
Griffin: Packers (Start) – The Bears offense has looked horrible for the past few weeks. After Shane Waldron’s firing, the Bears will be working out a new offensive scheme.
Joe: Commanders (Sit) – Washington’s defense has surpassed expectations in 2024, but in week 11 they’ll meet an Eagles team that has averaged nearly 32 points per week since their WR tandem of Devonta Smith and AJ Brown got healthy.
