Fantasy Football:
Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em:
QB
Jonah: Kyler Murray (Start) – Not only is Murray going up against what might just be the worst secondary in the NFL in the Washington Commanders, but he also seems to be deeply in-sync with his weapons in Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michael Wilson. Expect big things from the small guy this week.
Griffin: Jared Goff (Sit) – The Seahawks defense has yet to allow a mere 150 passing yards in any of their first three games and rank #1 as a defense according to PFF. Don’t bank on a big game from the Lions’ captain.
Joe: Brock Purdy (Sit) – Assuming he plays, Purdy will see a negative game script in a game that both teams will look to control from the ground. Given injuries on both sides, the long ball likely won’t find its way into either club’s playbook.
RB
Jonah: Zack Moss (Sit) – There are two main reasons as to why Zach Moss shouldn’t see the starting lineup of your fantasy team… For one, the return of Tee Higgins to the Bengals’ roster means that they will likely be looking to take the top off of defenses more than usual. Moreover, second-year running back Chase Brown has looked really dynamic in recent weeks, so his carry load should increase at the expense of Moss this coming week.
Griffin: Chuba Hubbard (Start) – Chubba Hubbard is coming off a great week against the Raiders and the Cincinnati defense was atrocious on Monday night. Look for Jonah’s favorite team to get run over.
Joe: Devon Achane (Start) – It was a forgettable outing for Achane against the Seahawks, don’t overreact. He’s passed the eye test and is up against an uninspiring Titans front seven.
WR
Jonah: Andrei Iosivas (Start) – While I would in no way advocate for having Iosivas as your WRI, he may just be a sneaky good player to slide into your flex. The former Princeton track star is slowly becoming a mainstay in the Bengals’ offense, catching a touchdown in each of his first three games of the season.
Griffin: Marvin Harrison Jr. (Start) – While the Commanders got the win on Monday night, Chase and Burrow still were able to connect for a solid chunk of yards. In a date with Washington this week, expect Kyler Murray to look in the direction of his rookie standout.
Joe: Demario Douglas (Sit) – Douglas (finally) saw high usage last week, but the Patriots’ most dynamic threat can’t be bet on to post that target share week in, week out. Pair that with the fact that the Patriots put the ball in the endzone less than anyone, and you have a recipe for an inconsistent fantasy option.
TE
Jonah: Mark Andrews (Sit) – Andrews looks like he is no longer the primary option in Baltimore anymore, the young superstar Isiah Likely having upped and usurped his throne. Andrews is a must sit or drop for every manager considering this fact.
Griffin Mark Andrews (Sit) – To put it bluntly, Mark Andrews has fallen off a cliff this season and deserves to be nowhere near your fantasy team. He is one bad week away from the drop zone.
Joe: Trey McBride (Start) – McBride was decent last week, but through three weeks he hasn’t seen the targets we all expected him to get from a healthy Kyler Murray. Still, he looks great with the ball, and Marvin Harrison Jr.’s breakout will start to open things up for him.
DEF
Jonah: Titans (Start) – The Dolphins offense is just an utter and complete mess right now, so starting a somewhat decent Titans defense set to square off against them seems like it should be a safe bet, right?
Griffin: Steelers (Start) – The Steelers defense has been performing to the level of their famous 1979 front so far this year. Conversely, Anthony Richardson is still a work in progress and is known for giving the ball away. The Pittsburgh D should once again be the difference-maker in their week.
Joe: Ravens (Sit) – While the Ravens have one of the NFL’s best defensive units, they’re ugly schedule will rear its head again this week against Josh Allen and a Bills team that allows the least fantasy points to defenses in the entire NFL.
