• Joseph Chartouny Selected to Preseason All-Atlantic 10 Third Team
Fordham junior guard Joseph Chartouny was selected to the All-Atlantic 10 third team in an A-10 preseason poll of coaches and media for the second consecutive year. In his sophomore year, Chartouny scored 12.1 ppg, recorded five assists per game and set the program single season steals record with 94, ranking fifth in the nation in total steals. He also led the conference and ranked third in the country in steals per game with 3.24 per game.
• Jake Miller-Tolt Honored By MAWPC As Offensive Player of the Week
On Wednesday, Oct. 11, sophomore driver Jake Miller Tolt was honored by the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) with his first Offensive Player of the Week award of the season. Miller-Tolt led the Rams to a 4-2 stretch as they traveled through the west coast, scoring 19 goals and recording 18 steals, five assists and seven blocks. At the Gary Troyer Tournament in Claremont, California, Miller-Tolt torched Occidental College and La Verne with six goals against each team.
• Rashid Nuhu and Jacob Bohm Win A-10 Soccer Weekly Awards
On Monday, Oct. 16, junior goalkeeper Rashid Nuhu and freshman defender Jacob Bohm each received A-10 weekly awards. Nuhu won his third Defensive Player of the Week award this season after a season-high six saves in a 1-0 win against St. Joseph’s. His nine shutouts this season are tied for second in the nation. Bohm won his first Rookie of the Week award after scoring Fordham’s only goal in the 26th minute against Saint Joseph’s to win the game. The second goal of his career, this comes after his game-winning goal last week against La Salle on Oct. 4.
• James Mongey Named A-10 Golfer of the Week
Senior James Mongey received his second A-10 Golfer of the Week award this season on Saturday, Oct. 14 after placing third individually at the Bucknell Invitational and leading Fordham to a third-place team finish. He recorded a program record for a two-round total with 137.
